Why you need to act now
The EU AI Act is law
The EU AI Act has been in force since August 2024. Article 4 has applied since February 2025. It requires all companies deploying AI systems to take measures that support their employees' AI literacy.
Supervision has started
The German KI-MIG has applied since 29 July 2026. In Germany, the Bundesnetzagentur supervises compliance. According to the Commission, the market surveillance authorities started supervision and enforcement on 2 August 2026. The Article 4 obligation has applied since February 2025.
All companies using AI affected
Every company using AI systems - from ChatGPT to automated decision systems - must take measures that support its employees' AI literacy.
No separate fine range for Article 4
Article 99(4) of the regulation does not list Article 4. The German KI-MIG contains no fine provision for it. The obligation applies all the same, and the authorities supervise it.
